Retail Store Manager
OverviewThis role leads a single-location retail store for an exciting national, VC-backed, experience-led specialty retail brand. The Manager is accountable for overall retail performance, including revenue growth, operational excellence, team leadership, and delivering an elevated, trust-driven customer experience.This role is a hands-on leadership position suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced, service-oriented environments and knows how to drive results through people. The Manager sets clear expectations, coaches performance, and creates an environment where both guests and team members feel confident, welcomed, and supported. You will serve as the primary owner of the store’s day-to-day operations and long-term success.Key Responsibilities OperationsOwn overall store performance, including sales results and key operational metricsReview and interpret business reports to identify trends, opportunities, and corrective actionsDelegate responsibilities across the leadership team and ensure consistent follow-throughManage schedules within labor targets and conduct routine payroll audits for accuracyUphold rigorous operational standards and inventory controlsPartner closely with leadership to ensure consistent training and adherence to operational standardsGuest ExperienceCreate a welcoming, consultative, and high-touch experience for every guestModel best-in-class service recovery and ensure customer feedback is actively addressedMonitor reviews and guest insights, escalating patterns and opportunities for improvementLeadership & Team DevelopmentRecruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team Provide regular coaching, performance feedback, and growth opportunitiesFoster a culture rooted in trust, inclusion, accountability, and collaborationNavigate employee relations thoughtfully in partnership with internal support teamsLead teams through change with clarity, empathy, and consistency Qualifications Minimum of 2 years in a people-management role in a customer-facing environmentExperience leading teams of 7+ employees, including roles with defined operational proceduresOn-site presence required at least five days per week with open availabilityWeekend availability required excluding approved PTOAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.Strong operational and financial judgment with a proven ability to meet or exceed goalsOrganized, adaptable, and effective in fast-changing environments Benefits & Perks Medical, dental, and vision coverageMental health and work-life support resources401(k) retirement planPaid time off and paid parental leaveEmployee discounts and additional voluntary benefitsSalary: $70,000 - $75,000 annually
