AI Engineer (client facing)SF (open to NYC) / $180k-$280k + early stage equityMy client is hiring an AI Engineer to work directly with customers on high-impact AI problems. You will design, build, and deploy production software that drives real business outcomes, working hands-on with customer data and iterating quickly based on real-world feedback with enterprise clients.This role is well suited to engineers from client-facing environments. My client has seen strong success hiring former data scientists and engineers from firms such as BCG, BCG X, McKinsey & Company, QuantumBlack, Bain & Company, Palantir, and similar applied AI or consulting-led organizations.What My Client Is Looking For:Strong customer focus and comfort operating in ambiguous environmentsProficiency in Python and or TypeScript in production systemsExperience deploying data-heavy or AI-enabled applicationsClear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholdersWillingness to travel occasionally, typically up to 20 percentNice to Have:Forward-deployed or customer-facing engineering experienceProduction experience with ML, LLMs, or agentic AI systemsFrontend experience, ideally React
