Job Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Supervisor and play a crucial role in ensuring our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position blends hands-on technical skills with leadership to drive performance and process improvements within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll be at the forefront of maintaining our preventive maintenance program, troubleshooting production issues, and enhancing our operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Technician/Mechanic Development: Evaluate, develop, and lead your team’s technical skills to ensure optimal performance.
Preventive Maintenance: Design and ensure adherence to preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Planning & Scheduling: Strategically plan and schedule maintenance tasks to align with production needs.
Technical Support: Provide expert troubleshooting for unscheduled production interruptions to maintain efficiency.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement improvements.
Parts Management: Oversee the identification and ordering of necessary repair parts.
Budget Oversight: Develop and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness.
Education & Experience:
Manufacturing Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing setting, specifically within the food industry.
Leadership Experience: At least 2 years as a lead or maintenance supervisor with a proven track record.
Technical Aptitude: Demonstrated mechanical and electrical skills, including proficiency with GMP and safety regulations.
Bilingual Requirement: Must be fluent in Spanish to effectively communicate with a diverse team.
Skills & Abilities:
Leadership: Proven ability to inspire, train, and manage a team, ensuring high performance and adherence to company standards.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
Compliance & Quality: Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Candidate Selection: Interview and recommend hiring decisions for technician and mechanic positions.
Work Environment:
This role involves a blend of responsibilities in both the manufacturing floor and office settings, ensuring that you engage with various aspects of the operation.
