Store Manager
The Store Manager will oversee all aspects of store operations including employees, profit/sales, effective cost control, customer satisfaction and standards for the entire store. In addition, the Store Manager plays a critical role in ensuring goals and metrics are consistently met throughout each department.
Financial
Confirm each department is meeting daily, weekly and monthly goals, including, but not limited to, labor budget, and sales
Oversee each departments’ schedules to ensure that we are providing customers with the best shopping experience while obtaining expected budgets
Achieve budgeted financial goals and ensure profitability through the tracking of costs/sales and the execution of marketing plans, product promotions, product displays and cost control techniques
Review monthly Profit and Loss statements to ensure store is running efficiently and on budget. Make any appropriate changes if needed, in order to ensure goals are met
People Management
Manage all areas of the store, consistently leading by example and applying effective management techniques
Oversee, manage and train employees; including, but not limited to coaching, performance improvement, recognition, 1:1 meetings and feedback
Oversee department schedules based on labor budget
Review timecards and correct discrepancies prior to submittal
Communicate with Human Resources in regards to department employee relations, department hiring needs, employee accidents/injuries and other concerns as needed
General Management
Serve customers throughout the store while modeling a service-oriented culture and providing “best in class” customer service, which includes, greeting, engaging, and thanking every guest for their business
Provide consistent, timely and friendly customer service when answering questions, making suggestions and resolving complaints
Anticipates highs and lows in the business and reacts accordingly to solve problems and/or adjust allocated labor
Monitor inventory controls for every department
Sustains a high level of product knowledge
Assist with store promotional sales events as needed
Store Conditions
Ensure that each department is always full and fresh with the best quality products
Connect daily with each department to review daily schedule, department conditions and determine where assistance may be needed; providing hands-on assistance as needed
Oversee back room and coolers to ensure product is organized and properly stored
Walk department regularly to ensure an organized, sanitary, and overall clean appearance at all times
Maintain department conditions, ensuring shelves are stocked, product is rotated and the store well organized
Create attractive department displays and end caps based on specific sales for the week
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and procedures
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Must know and perform other duties when needed, included but not limited to: cashiering, courtesy, stocking, rotating/facing product, cleaning duties, etc.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Must have a minimum of 6 years professional experience.
Preferred 5-7 years grocery retail experience in overall store operations.

Strong sense of team – ability to anticipate the needs of the team
Strong computer skills, working knowledge in Microsoft 365
Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Ability to accommodate a fluctuating schedule, including evening, weekend and holiday shifts
Willingness to become community-involved
Physical Requirements:
Lift 50lbs occasionally, lift 20lbs regularly.
Stand and walk for the duration of work shift. Sitting occasionally.
Reaching, pushing, and pulling merchandise regularly.
