Software Engineer
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications and services. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and system performance.Responsibilities:Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, APIs, and backend services.Translate business and technical requirements into reliable software solutions.Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following coding standards and best practices.Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to system design decisions.Develop and execute unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure software quality.Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and production issues.Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, QA teams, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment activities across development, testing, and production environments.Create and maintain technical documentation, system specifications, and operational procedures.Monitor application performance and implement enhancements to improve scalability, security, and reliability.Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.Stay informed about emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.Required Skills & Certifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).2 to 5 years of professional software development experience.Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go.Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases.Experience with version control systems such as Git.Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.Understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented programming principles.Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Preferred Skills & Certifications:Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates).Experience with automated testing frameworks.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.Exposure to security best practices and secure software development.Experience with data analytics, AI/ML integrations, or cloud-native architectures.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Special Considerations:Participation in on-call support or production support activities may be required.Work environment can be hybrid, remote, or onsite depending on business requirements.Scheduling:Work schedule aligned with Agile development cycles including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.May require flexible hours to support deployment and production activities.
