Food Safety Coordinator

Role: Descriptive Analysis Panel Leader Location: Frisco, TX This worker will work approximately 32 hours a week and be a hybrid. The pay rate for this role is $35/hr. Descriptive Analysis (DA) Panel Leader This role will be responsible for leading an internal Descriptive Analysis panel. This includes all aspects of panel management including but not limited to descriptive language development, training, and calibrating panel members, and providing instructive feedback to the panel as a whole and to individuals. In addition, she/he will be responsible for independently analyzing the data, using a computer, and presenting findings to the sensory scientist. This role will entail timely execution of each of the following: · Preparing panel sessions and creating Compusense tests · Meet with Scientists/Stakeholders at start of project to determine method, approach and timing · Create and prioritize panel schedule · Provide test request to DA panel technician (test request should include samples, sample preparation, blinding codes, references, reference preparation, cup sizes, w/ or w/o lids, serving size, serve times, serving temperatures, serve order and any other information pertinent to the test) · Panel and Panelist Training (including new panelists) · Analyzing panel performance · Analyzing and reporting sensory data - Topline data analysis and reporting using an agreed KDP template · Report may or may not include data interpretation depending on the nature of the report and to whom the report is being sent · Receiving DA project products: Receive samples from sensory scientist, labeling samples clearly, and enter into storage conditions Drive between locations to purchase references and products from store to testing site Create project folders in Share Point/ store the relevant files Document data from DA panel evaluations and projects Compile DA data Skills Fluent in descriptive analysis methods and experience in applying experimental design and statistics to sensory research Highly collaborative, self-motivated, takes initiative; positively influence others Strong technical, executional, and communication skills Change readiness, resiliency, and flexibility to thrive in a constantly changing and fast-moving organization · Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Compusense · Experience with a variety of different knowledge management systems: SAP, SharePoint, Labware, or others · Familiarity with good manufacturing processes, sanitary food preparation · Experience in a laboratory setting desired · Ability to maintain schedule, and attend to small details · Ability to identify and raise issues to supervisor Requirements BS degree from an accredited university (e.g. Food Science, Sensory Science, etc.) Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in Sensory field especially in Descriptive Analysis Panel Minimum 1 year of experience utilizing sensory research software (i.e. Compusense, FIZZ) Expert practitioner in Sensory Science with proven scientific expertise including knowledge of Beverage industry experience (especially in coffee) preferred Thanks and Regards Kirti Singh| Team Lead| Pride Veteran Staffing, Inc | Contact: 832-742-0530 Email: kirti@prideveterans.com Job Type: Contract Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Schedule: Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
