This role directs and oversees the global strategic account planning, acquisitions, customer relationship, profitability, and customer satisfaction for the assigned account(s).Primary Responsibilities & Duties:Global strategic account planning, e.g. developing customer roadmap strategy, defining strategic priorities and setting acquisition targets in each region.Management of acquisitions worldwide, e.g. definition of technical and commercial offer and quote approval for each region.Responsible for generating sales growth and new business opportunities with customer account(s) and end marketsManagement of the customer relationship through the proper interfaces according to the customer organization and decision process.Part profitability and SKU Management with the customer.Global customer satisfaction as measured through the appropriate metrics.Assists in creating functional strategies and specific objectives to support the functional infrastructureEnsures the adherence to the organization’s Sales policies and proceduresDevelops budget for the customer account(s)Works cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Purchasing internally as well as with the same Customer functionsNegotiate commercial agreements/contracts with customers which are beneficial to the CompanyOther duties as requiredRequired Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field required5+ years Commercial experience in an Automotive, Commercial Vehicle, Agriculture, Construction, Powersports, and/or Industrial field8+ years of managerial experience requiredProduct / Process design and development knowledgeExhaust or Powertrain systems understandingSomeone who takes complete ownership of all financial aspects of their account(s)Strategic thinker with high business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit to grow the business relationship with the customer.Preferred Education & Experience:MBACustomer facing experienceTier 1 parts experience a strong plus (Sales, Engineering, Program Management)Skills & Experience:New Business DevelopmentCan differentiate costing and pricing strategies and develop value proposition.Strong analytical, financial and problem-solving skills.Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Nelson’s Code of Ethics.Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Internet proficiency requiredStrong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)Excellent attention to detail and accuracySuperior organizational skills and time managementKnowledge of principals and practices of personnel administrationStrong sales skills including prospecting, forecasting, presenting, and closing new businessProven track record at business planning and achieving measurable goalsSelf-motivated with a strong ability to support and motivate othersAbility to work well under pressure and proven ability to meet deadlinesAdept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and excellent self-management skillsProven relationship building skills and experience and multiple levels in the organizationAbility to prioritize and manage both customer requests and documentation in a fast paced, customer focused environmentSelf-motivated with a strong ability to support and motivate othersProven Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines
