Job DescriptionMobile Staff Solutions is now hiring in the Mulberry area! This is a temp to hire opportunity.GENERAL DEFINITIONThe Welder will lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structuralforms, using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineeringRequirements. Includes Experimental Welders Who Analyze Engineering Drawingsand specifications to plan welding operations where procedural information isunavailable. Welders report directly to the Fabrication Department Manager.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesClamps, holds, tack-welds, heat-bends, bolts, or grinds spare parts as necessary tosatisfy the technical requirements and creates a welded final product.Welds spare parts in various directions: flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead, etc.Controls the processes of fitting, burning, and welding to avoid problems inrelation to overheating, distortion, expansion or shrink of spare parts.Arranges and assures the welded parts are arranged in order before beingassembled into final products, using such tools as a square, caliper or ruler.Prepares and sets up necessary tools and equipment for welding job such asshielded metal arc, gas metal arc or other welding equipment.Ignites flame or strikes an arc while welding or performing electricity-related workto weld part of a metal structure.Examines finished products and spare parts, comparing them with samples toverify whether the specifications are met.Operates accessory equipment and performs tasks necessary for welding metal,such as fusing metal segments, using gas tungsten arc, metal arc, flux-cored arc,plasma arc, and other types of welding arcs.Supervises and identifies any fault in operating equipment or in relation to anymaterial or equipment, then notifying the supervisors.Operates safely and applies safety practice at work while performing duties.Experience Requirements And SkillsMinimum 2 years of MIG welding experience.Provide personal basic tools to perform job tasks.High School Diploma Or Equivalent. (Preferred)Vocational or Technical certification. (Preferred)Able to maintain regular, full attendance is a requirement.Able to work overtime during the week and weekend is a requirement.Able to grow in the position with a positive and willing attitude.Able to remember and understand instructions, guidelines, and additionalEssential Information Is Required.Able to safely perform the essential functions of the job without posing adirect threat to the safety of self or others.Able to legally work in the United States.Able to pass a physical, drug and background check.PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands described are representative to successfully perform theessential functions of this job.
