NoEssential Job Functions Teaches College of Osteopathic Medicine courses in the classroom or in small group discussion or laboratory as assigned. Participates in ambulatory, nursing home and hospital patient care and on call schedule. Provides consultative services to college outpatient clinics. Participates in small groups, laboratories, etc as requested. Provides and maintains a reliable schedule of office hours for student advising, tutoring, remediation and consultation. Participates in department and college wide committee meetings. Engages in curriculum development related to current and new courses. Maintains a personal professional development plan which may include research or other creative activities to assure growth and current within the field of Family Medicine. Displays professional behavior and ethics in all aspects of job performance. Perform other duties as assigned or required.Job RequirementsRequired Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Knowledge of the medical field. Clinical experience.Required Certifications/Licensures: Candidate must have Certificate of Added Qualification in Geriatrics or a board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.Required Education: Terminal Degree (Highest degree in field of study)Major (if RequiredRequired Experience: 1. Terminal degree (DO or MD degree) with board certification in appropriate area of specialization, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics. Between four (4) to six (6) years of related experience and/or training, including research or equivalent combination of educational and clinical experience.Preferred QualificationsIs this a safety sensitive position?
