Finishing Press Operator

Labeltronix/AWT is seeking Two (2) Finishing Press Operator to perform daily operation and maintenance of finishing, rewinding, and packaging press and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a positive, self-motivated, hardworking personality with a great "Team Player" attitude. Previous Press Operator experience and Manufacturing experience is a plus. Special projects and other duties may be assigned as needed. Perform daily converting and finishing as required to meet the production schedule Perform routine maintenance, on schedule and according to procedure Perform adjustments accurately, efficiently, and according to procedure Monitor the finishing process to maintain high finished product quality Understand machine capabilities to achieve optimum quality, throughput, and waste minimization Update real-time order data through internal information systems Perform order Q.C. checks according to work instructions to ensure accuracy Keep aware of deadlines and produce orders to meet commitments Advise Production Lead of supplies inventory levels Participate in training programs facilitated by Production Lead and Plant Manager Perform the rewinding and packaging process as necessary Responsible for proper handling of all supplies associated with the finishing process Adhere to existing work instructions/processes and contribute ideas and recommendations for continuous process improvement EXPECTATIONS: Provide regular feedback on ways to improve production processes Provide recommendations and feedback to management regarding operational capabilities and limitations Maintain a very organized, clean, and safe work environment Participate in a continuous learning environment Adjust to new objectives as necessary Keep up to date on industry knowledge Be able to work at times under high-pressure Understand the importance of customer needs for both internal and external customers Be receptive to feedback Be a good listener and open-minded Possess a cooperative, team attitude Follow procedures/work instructions well Be detail oriented Have strong dedication and good work ethic QUALIFICATIONS: Press operating experience Printing experience is a plus Good troubleshooting skills Experience maintaining equipment Color theory/management is a plus EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent Experience in a printing field is a plus Minimum 1 years’ experience in a label printing operation is a plus Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Retirement plan Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Evening shift Monday to Friday Experience: Manufacturing: 1 year (Required) Ability to Commute: Anaheim, CA 92806 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Anaheim, CA 92806: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
