Project Engineer (m/f/d)

Overview In this role you enable customers to implement Vector solutions in their environments, driving successful adoption and satisfaction. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, support OEMs and suppliers, and lead initiatives that align with product development and market needs. You’ll apply hands‑on technical expertise to enable validation workflows and deliver training and demonstrations that showcase Vector tools. This position offers impact across customer projects and long‑term relationships, with a focus on problem solving and field support. ResponsibilitiesProvide strong technical support for PC-based network tools used by product developers and test engineers at OEMs and suppliersFacilitate success of current products and identify requirements for future solutionsMaintain knowledge of Vector test and validation tool chain features and operationCollaborate with customers to gather new tool requirements and liaise with Vector product teamsProactively initiate customer contact to develop long-term relationshipsImplement business development plans to meet product line goalsManage projects helping customers integrate Vector tools into their processesIdentify and propose customer training opportunities and scope of instructionContribute feedback from customers to market strategy through monitoring competitorsProvide customer training, including developing courseware and delivering instruction in classroom/workshop settingsConduct demonstrations and customer workshops to promote Vector tools Key requirements3+ years of experience in development of vehicle software/hardware systemsExperience with C/C++ requiredKnowledge of automotive networking standards (CAN, CAN FD, J1939, LIN, MOST, Ethernet, AUTOSAR)Experience with HIL systems desirableStrong communication and presentation skillsUnderstanding of software design and distributed embedded architecturesExperience with vector tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, CAPL, vTESTstudio, VT System) desirableWillingness to travel to customer sites (
