The housekeepers are also tasked with responding promptly to guests’ requests and reporting maintenance issues for each room.We Are Currently Looking For aDutch Wonderland Inn FT HousepersonRoles & ResponsibilitiesRoles & Responsibilities: Provide exceptional guest service by treating all guests with courtesy and a smile Respond to all guest requests by delivering any requested items in a timely manner Remove all linens per room and replenish with clean linens Make the beds as dictated by brand standards Remove all trash from trash cans and replace with a clean bag Monitor the supply of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and toiletry items in each room; replace low or missing items Dust and polish all fixtures and surfaces Ensure that windows and mirrors are clean and free of any residue Immediately report any damages or safety hazards to the maintenance team or lodging leadership Place all dirty linens in the designated laundry area Vacuum and sweep the floors of each room Clean and sanitize all showers, toilets, sinks, counters Empty all contents from refrigerator, if applicable Maintain cart and bumpers to avoid damage to walls and doors Properly handle, label, stock and store chemicals and cleaning supplies Protect guest belongings; turn in lost and found items immediately Report room status and maintenance problems accurately and in a timely manner Clean and disinfect public areas of the hotel including lobby, public restrooms, tending to trash cans, and outdoor walkways, when needed Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment All other duties assigned by leadershipEducation And Experience No education requirements for this position Previous work experience is not requiredLanguage: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with PA Child Labor Laws Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Must have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shift Ability to comply with all uniform policies Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner Must possess a strong attention to detail, to quickly notice objects and areas around the property that require attention Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independentlyPhysical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday Ability to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more Ability to withstand heat and humidity in certain areas of the hotel Ability to consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/tools Ability to tolerate prolonged exposure to dust, dirt, and cleaning chemicalsWorking Conditions This role will predominantly be based in an indoor lodging setting, with some exposure to outdoor environments Some exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditions Subject to the handling of and exposure to oils, chemicals, detergents, and cleaners Subject to frequent interruptions and may need to reprioritize activities Subject to constant repetitive motion Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens; proper PPE is required in these situationsTeam Member BenefitsDo not miss the chance to spark your career now!
