Sr. Director of Supply Chain & Procurement

Position OverviewThe Sr. Director of Supply Chain and Procurement is responsible for the strategic direction, oversight, and optimization of all procurement, sourcing, contracting, and supply chain operations. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies that ensure cost efficiency, operational continuity, regulatory compliance, and high-quality clinical support for physician practices and surgical centers. This role is highly cross-functional and partners closely with Finance, Operations, Clinical Leadership, and Surgery Center Administrators to align supply chain strategy with organizational growth and clinical excellence. The overall goals of the Operations and Supply Chain function are to drive cost optimization, ensure product standardization, strengthen vendor partnerships, support de novo expansion and acquisitions, and maintain uninterrupted supply availability across all orthopaedic sites.ResponsibilitiesLead enterprise-wide supply chain and procurement strategy for orthopaedic practices, ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), and affiliated clinical operationsOversee sourcing, contracting, negotiation, and vendor management for implants, biologics, surgical supplies, and capital equipmentDevelop and implement standardized procurement processes across all locations to improve efficiency, compliance, and cost controlPartner with physicians and clinical leadership to manage Physician Preference Items (PPI) programs and drive product standardization initiativesManage relationships with key vendors and distributors to ensure optimal pricing, service levels, and supply continuityAnalyze spend data and utilization trends to identify cost savings opportunities and support value-based decision makingOversee inventory management strategies including par levels, forecasting, and optimization across multiple facilitiesLead contract negotiations and ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and internal governance requirementsSupport new practice integrations, acquisitions, and ASC onboarding from a supply chain and procurement perspectiveDevelop KPIs and dashboards to monitor supply chain performance, cost trends, and vendor performanceCollaborate with Finance and Operations teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost containment initiativesEnsure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and industry best practicesEvaluate and implement supply chain technologies and automation opportunities to improve visibility and efficiencyProvide leadership, mentorship, and development to supply chain and procurement staffPerform other duties or special projects as assignedEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or strategic sourcing; 5+ years in a leadership roleExperience in healthcare supply chain management required, preferably within orthopaedics, MSO, ASC, or hospital systemsStrong experience managing physician preference items (PPI), implants, and surgical supply contractingProven track record of negotiating complex vendor agreements and driving cost savings initiativesExperience supporting multi-site or multi-state healthcare operationsPreferred Qualifications & SkillsExperience in orthopaedics, surgical specialties, or procedural healthcare environments strongly preferredStrong financial acumen with ability to analyze spend, margins, and cost structuresExperience with supply chain systems, procurement platforms, or ERP tools (e.g., Workday, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)Demonstrated ability to build and scale supply chain functions in a growing or acquisition-driven organizationStrong analytical, negotiation, and vendor management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving MSO environmentHigh attention to detail with strong organizational and data integrity standardsExcellent communication and relationship-building skills with physicians and executive leadershipOn-site presence required at the Tampa-area headquartersORTHOPAEDIC SOLUTIONS MANAGEMENT IS A DRUG FREE WORKPLACEWe are committed to maintaining a safe, healthy, and productive work environment.
