Overview
As First Line Manager, you will lead a team of Specialty Engineers in Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability and Integrated Logistics Support. You will own SpE program execution, develop proposals, and align roadmaps with milestones and cost targets. You’ll manage recruitment, performance, and development while collaborating with RMS leaders, suppliers, and customers. You help establish vision, goals, and metrics to drive performance. This role offers the chance to shape critical engineering programs within a mission-driven defense environment.

ResponsibilitiesOwner and focal point for Specialty Engineering program execution and proposal developmentDevelop reliability, safety, and maintainability roadmap aligned with program milestones and cost targetsCoordinate employee assignments, recruitment, hiring, training, performance assessments, salary actions, and recognition/disciplinary actionsCollaborate with RMS Specialty Engineering leaders, program leadership, suppliers, and customersEstablish organizational vision, goals, and metrics to track performance
Key requirementsBachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, reliability engineering, safety engineering, systems engineering, or a related discipline7+ years of related experienceDemonstrated experience in Systems Engineering, Reliability and Maintainability, System Safety, or Integrated Logistics SupportSolid understanding of system engineering principles and practicesExperience with project life cycle (requirements, design, development, integration, verification)Experience with proposals and cost estimatingPrior leadership or management experience (desirable)Leadership and people managementCross-functional collaborationEffective communicationSystems EngineeringReliability and Maintainability (RMA)System Safety
