The role supports students' academic, social-emotional, psychological, and physical development in a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment. Teachers will prepare students to become independent, responsible, and productive members of society.Morehouse Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to serve students in grades K-6 with mild to moderate disabilities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about inclusive education and able to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families.Responsibilities:Develop and implement IEPs in accordance with federal and state regulationsModify curriculum and instruction to meet students' individual needsWork closely with paraprofessionals and related service providersMaintain communication with parents and staff regarding student progressMinimum QualificationsCertification:Must meet the certification requirements set forth by the Louisiana Department of Education and/or the Louisiana Board of Elementary & Secondary Education at the time of employment.
