Specimen Processor Hiring Now!Job DescriptionThe Specimen Processor position focuses on preparing study materials before sample processing collection and is responsible for the receipt and processing of irreplaceable clinical trial specimens. This role involves operating basic to moderate equipment for sample processing and data entry, under the supervision of a Sample Management supervisor. This role is open to Entry Level applicants!Shift: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, Tuesday-SaturdayResponsibilities+ Receive and process shipments for LPS departments from various couriers.+ Resolve misrouted shipments and complete all related follow-up tasks.+ Open, clean, and properly handle inbound specimen shipments.+ Ensure quality control of discarded materials to prevent processing failures and report issues to management as needed.+ Maintain specimen temperature and integrity upon receipt.+ Scan shipments into internal databases accurately.+ Sort and route specimens according to standard operating procedures.+ Perform inbound kit receipt processing.+ Conduct quality control checks on requisitions.+ Enter patient demographics and administrative data into systems.+ Prepare original requisitions for hard-copy archiving.+ Operate and maintain automation lines and perform manual aliquoting as required.+ Image requisitions for upload to internal systems and data entry teams.+ Set up, adjust, maintain, and clean laboratory and medical equipment.+ Analyze test and experiment results to ensure conformity with specifications using mechanical and electrical devices.Essential Skills+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.+ High attention to detail and accuracy.+ Effective problem-solving abilities.+ Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ High school diploma or GED required.+ Associate's degree in Medical Technology or relevant vocational training preferred.+ Minimum of 1 year of applicable work experience.Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves operating in a clinical trial setting where handling of specimens and operation of laboratory equipment is crucial. The role requires adherence to standard procedures and maintaining equipment to ensure accurate processing of samples. The candidate must be comfortable working independently while managing their time efficiently.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
