Transportation Management Specialist
Job TitleTransportation Management SpecialistSummaryIn this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping the supply chain moving by owning day to day transportation activities through the Transportation Management System (TMS) to ensure freight moves efficiently, cost effectively, and on time. You’ll partner closely with operations, supply chain, and external carriers to optimize routing, improve service levels, and drive continuous improvement. From identifying consolidation opportunities and supporting freight audit and payment processes to ensuring DOT compliance and contributing to carrier selection, your work will have a direct impact on logistics performance, cost control, and customer commitments.Please note this role requires on-site presence five days a week, Monday through Friday.Responsibilities IncludeManage daily transportation operations using TMS for inbound and outbound shipments (Regional)Monitor shipment status, resolve exceptions, and ensure on-time deliveryEnsure shipment compliance with DOT and other applicable regulationsIdentify and execute freight consolidation opportunities to optimize cost and serviceSupport freight bill audit and payment processes, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepanciesMaintain carrier profiles, routing guides, and rate tables within TMSCollaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure carrier compliance and performanceGenerate and analyze transportation KPI data and reports to drive continuous important opportunitiesSupport system enhancements and participate in TMS-related projects and testingEnsure master data accuracy and integrity within the TMS platformProvide training and support to internal users on TMS functionalitySupports expedited shipments and other customer urgent tasksQualificationsThe following are required for the role3+ years Supply Chain experience or bachelor’s in supply chain management, Engineering, Business, or related field 3+ years of experience in transportation operations or TMS managementStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office Application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Travel up to 10% domesticallyThe Following Are Preferred For The RoleAPICS or CSCMP certificationExperience in freight audit and payment systemsKnowledge of international shipping and customs processesInventory systems such as SAP knowledgeWhat We OfferBase Pay Range: $80,500 - $117,700The actual salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography.
