Critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills. Description: This position is for a Physical Therapist. The therapy staff services the entire facility. The unit features a rehabilitation unit and a 383-bed acute care hospital with an average census of 240 patients. The team consists of 17 physical therapists, including both full-time and PRN staff. The patient ratios are 4 patients per day in the rehabilitation unit and 8-12 patients per day in acute care. The facility is equipped with 2 therapy gyms, Vector equipment, LiteGait, and an ADL apartment. Electronic medical records are managed using Meditech. Candidates must have experience in evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning. Team conferences and family training sessions are integral parts of the workflow. Familiarity with adaptive devices and equipment is preferred. The ideal candidate is flexible, a team player, and collaborative. Staff are expected to work one weekend shift per month and rotate holidays with hospital employees.
