As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead/Manager with expertise in CAD design, particularly SolidWorks, to join our team. Job Summary: As the Engineering Lead/Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the CAD design process for our battery systems and cells. You will lead a team of talented engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge designs that meet our customers' requirements. Your expertise in SolidWorks and your strong leadership skills will drive the successful execution of projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and manufacturable designs. Responsibilities: · Manage and lead a team of engineers responsible for CAD design using SolidWorks software.· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional development and ensuring the achievement of project objectives.· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to translate customer requirements into innovative and feasible designs.· Oversee the creation, modification, and optimization of 3D models, drawings, and assemblies using SolidWorks, adhering to design standards and best practices.· Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of design documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs) and engineering change orders (ECOs).· Review and evaluate design concepts, identifying areas for improvement and implementing design enhancements to optimize product performance, reliability, and manufacturability. · Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to the team, promoting continuous improvement and fostering a culture of innovation. · Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to resolve design-related issues, providing technical support and facilitating the smooth transition of designs into production. · Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in CAD design, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving the adoption of new tools and methodologies.· Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality management systems throughout the design process. Requirements: · Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. Proven experience (X years) as an Engineering Lead/Manager in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the battery systems or energy storage industry. · Strong proficiency in CAD design using SolidWorks software, with a track record of successfully delivering complex designs. In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, design standards, and best practices.· Proficiency in interpreting and creating engineering drawings, models, and specifications. · Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of engineers.· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.· Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to interact with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.· Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.).· Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essentials of this job.
