Our hospitals, care sites and clinicians are recognized for clinical and operational excellence.DIRECTOR, STAFFING & SCHEDULING | Cincinnati, OH Remote with 15-20% TravelPosition SummaryThe Director of the Staffing & Scheduling Office is a pivotal liaison between the 24/7 central staffing office and care site leadership in a large market. This role manages the day to day operations of scheduling, staffing and timekeeping. This position ensures the scheduling and staffing office meets staffing and communication expectations, which includes preparing and receiving reports and monitoring and analyzing data for efficiency, effectiveness, and process improvement. This role also has oversight and accountability for the market float pool, international nursing, and agency staffing processes.Essential Job FunctionsDirectly supervises associates; leads team by recognizing and rewarding teamwork, eliminating barriers, securing resources and promoting problem-solving; manages performance deficits of associates; recognizes and rewards performance; maintains positive relationships with staff as well as other stakeholders for continuous improvement of satisfaction levels; communicates regularly with team and individual staff members regarding organizational and departmental programs and initiativesAssures that all expectations for customer service are met; communicates with associates and leaders proactively, as well as when collaborative solutions are needed; positively represents the department to others; responds in a timely fashion to complaints; follows up on actions taken.Oversight of all 24/7 responsibilities in the day to day management of the central staffing office, including oversight of schedules, meeting timelines, communication with managers, daily staffing needs, and assisting with escalation to nurse leaders.Analyzes and distributes market and site reports to leaders as needed. Works collaboratively with Market CNO and other leaders on troubleshooting areas with staffing challenges.Assists with allocation of agency resources and other duties as assigned pertaining to contract labor.Manages the market nursing float pool.Leads other nursing workforce projects for the market, including international nursing and agency staffing processes.Job Requirements4 year Bachelors Degree in Business, data management, or related field.RN license preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience with staffing/scheduling software in a 24/7 healthcare setting plus 3 years in a management role with proven ability to work successfully with variety of stakeholders. Strongly prefer 2 years experience in nursing management.Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Strong customer service skills. Strong analytical skills. Ability to coordinate efforts with team members within and outside of own department or organization. In-depth knowledge of computer systems and various software programs. Experience developing and maintaining reports. Ability to work independently and self-directed.
