Job Description Job Title: Commercial – Outside Technician IReports To: David GreenLocation: Greensboro, NCEmployment Status: Full-TimeFLSA Status: Non-ExemptThis position has typical work hours Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:00PM, evenings as neededJob Summary:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Outside Technician/Mechanic to join our team. An Outside Technician II is responsible for mechanical repairs on heavy-duty diesel commercial trucks. Employees in this position will primarily be working outdoors and must be focused on both safety and customer satisfaction.Essential Functions and Tasks:Perform mechanical repairs on heavy-duty diesel commercial trucksMaintain updated reports as needed on fleet accounts.Communicate safety concerns, company vehicle issues and customer problems with service manager or store manager immediately.Responsible for various types of mechanical repairsUnderstand customer base and profilesResponsible for daily safety pre-trip inspections on service truckKeep service truck and service area clean to maintain a safe work environmentResponsible for following all safety regulations, processes and procedures required by Parrish Tire Company, TIA, OSHA and NCDOLQualifications:2+ years of experience as a mobile diesel mechanicClean driving recordValid NC driver’s licenseMust become (TIA) Certified if not alreadyKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Dependable - Employee must be reliable, responsible and trustworthy, and complete all assigned obligations.Attention to Detail - Employee must be thorough in completing tasks and must always be aware of potential safety issues.Cooperation - Employee must be pleasant with others on the job and display a good-natured, cooperative attitude.Integrity - Employee is required to be honest and ethical.Communication - Employee must provide courteous and clear written and verbal communication with customers and co-workers.Required Physical Abilities:Physical requirements of this position may require a range of activities. These can include, but are not limited to:Lifting and carrying – the ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights, which may vary by job. For example, a job may require lifting up 50-150lbs regularly.Standing and walking – this position will require standing and walking for periods of timeBending and stooping – bending, stooping, or crouching are requiring to effectively preform essential duties of this position.Reaching and pushing/pulling – the ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment will be necessary for daily activities.Sitting – there will be times this position will be needed to sit for prolonged periods of time.This position will also be required to operate certain machinery and other equipment safely.Work Environment:This position will require employees to work in certain weather conditions, such as heat, cold, as well as potentially confined spaces.Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:00PM, evenings as needed
