This includes pre-employment screenings, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and other health assessments that support a wide range of government agencies.Job DescriptionThe Optometrist will perform an in-person assessment with the Veterans to complete the required Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) for submission to VA for eligibility determination. The Optometrist will be responsible for providing complete high quality optometric/vision care services to patients and performing evaluation of the eyes and provide medical opinions.Duties include the following.Provide vision examinationsPerform exams/tests on all applicable ophthalmologic equipment to assess claimsMaintains compliance with all current organizational, state, and federal regulations pertaining to Optometry job specificationsPrepare for and deliver exceptional patient handling and care during all interactionsComplete and submit all required documentation promptly and completely, including DBQs in the required formatPerforms all duties and tasks as assigned by management Education/Experience: Active, uninterrupted, unincumbered licensure: Optometry (required), will consider ophthalmology licenseBachelor's degree in associated field with a 4-year Doctor of Optometry degreeMinimum one year of active experience in performing optometric exams preferredTechnological Skills:Experienced in one or more major Electronic Health RecordsSolid knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams) Required Knowledge and Skills: Ability to initiate and follow through on work independentlyProven ability to be prompt, punctual, reliable, and detail-orientedProven ability to establish and foster significant relationshipsExcellent written and verbal communications skillsHighly developed interpersonal and customer relationship and management skillsProfessional demeanor, strong work ethic, discrete, resourceful, and ability to maintain confidentialityAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and work collaboratively in a team environment Benefits: 401(k) with employer matchingHealth, Dental, and Vison insurancesFlexible scheduleLife, long and short-term disability insurances5 days Sick/Safe LeavePaid time off and 2 additional float holidays6 paid Federal HolidaysWork schedule:Monday - Friday 8:00am-6:30pm4, 8 or 10 hour shiftsNo weekendsNo holidays Additional Requirements: Active BLSImmunizations Required: TB Screening (less than one year old)Hep B Titers (less than 1 year old)Immunizations Strongly Recommended:• COVID vaccination and boosters• MMR Titers (less than 1 year old)• Varicella Titers (less than 1 year old)• TDAP Immunization (less than 10 years old)• Flu Immunization (within current season)Trusted Medical, PLLC participates in the E-Verify program.
