As a Robotics Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and advancing cutting-edge robotics programming tools and solutions. We are looking for individuals with a strong background in robotics, computer science, mathematics, and machine learning to drive innovation.Essential functionsWork with a global team of researchers and engineers in the field of robotics and computer vision to deliver innovative products and solutionsDevelop software for controlling and operating robotic systems, implementing algorithms for perception, planning, and controlContribute to the development of robotics toolpath planning algorithms, their simulation and validationIntegrate hardware and software components into complete robotic systems, conducting testing and validation to ensure functionality and performanceExperiment with state-of-the-art methods in object detection, pose estimation, and motion planningParticipate in design and implementation of robotics programming tools and reusable componentsQualificationsMS or PhD degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field5+ years of experience with commissioning and programming industrial robots, with a focus on developing and deploying manipulation robotic systems (e.g. bin picking, packaging, agriculture picking)Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB, and experience with robotics frameworks and librariesFamiliarity with robotic simulation tools and platforms, such as ROS (Robot Operating System), Gazebo and Isaac Sim/OmniverseExperience with robotic perception and manipulation algorithms, such as path planning and motion controlStrong understanding of robotic hardware components and subsystems, including sensors, actuators, and control systemsExperience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) and computer vision modelsExperience in manufacturing industry and understanding of manufacturing processes such as welding, surface treatment, painting, and polishing is a strong advantageWe offerOpportunity to work on bleeding-edge projectsWork with a highly motivated and dedicated teamCompetitive salaryFlexible scheduleProfessional development opportunitiesAbout usGrid Dynamics (NASDAQ: GDYN) is a leading provider of technology consulting, platform and product engineering, AI, and advanced analytics services.
