This individual will play a key role in developing accurate cost estimates, supporting bid efforts, and collaborating across engineering and construction teams.This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional looking to build a long-term career in estimating within a fast-paced, high-impact project environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparing detailed cost estimates for energy and construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completenessAnalyze project drawings, specifications, and scope documentation to understand project requirementsSupport the development of quantity takeoffs, labor estimates, and material pricingCollaborate with engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to gather and validate pricing informationParticipate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and internal estimate reviews as neededAssist in evaluating subcontractor bids and supplier quotes for competitiveness and accuracyMaintain organized estimate documentation and track revisionsContribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes, tools, and cost databasesSupport the transition of awarded projects to the operations team by ensuring clear scope and cost alignmentRequired Qualifications (Must Haves)Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related fieldBasic understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skillsStrong attention to detail and analytical mindsetExcellent communication and organizational skillsEagerness to learn and grow within the field of project estimatingPreferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)Internship or entry-level experience in construction, engineering, or estimatingExposure to energy, utilities, or infrastructure projectsFamiliarity with estimating tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Accubid, or similar)Basic knowledge of cost control, budgeting, or takeoff processes
