bout Company: A leading global investment management firm is looking to hire a Fund/Finance Accountant to join its Fund Accounting team in New York. This is an excellent opportunity for someone coming from public accounting or a direct fund environment to step into a high‑performance platform with broad exposure and strong internal visibility.Role OverviewSupport the month‑end close process, including journal entries and detailed reconciliations across multiple legal entitiesPerform analytical review across a wide range of asset classes, including equities, fixed income, commodities, and derivativesAssist with investor P&L allocations and fee calculations across fund structuresManage fund expense accruals, allocations, and reimbursementsContribute to the preparation of annual fund financial statementsPartner closely with internal teams including operations, valuation, financial reporting, tax, legal, and investor relationsWork with internal systems and third‑party administrators to ensure accurate and consistent reportingIdeal Background3–8 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 or national) or within a hedge fund / fund accounting environmentHedge fund audit or direct fund accounting experience strongly preferredCPA preferred but not requiredWhy This RoleHigh‑visibility seat within a well‑established, global investment platformExposure to complex products, multiple funds, and cross‑functional partnersStrong leadership team with a proven track record of internal mobility and developmentCompetitive compensation, discretionary bonus, and comprehensive benefits
