Founded by Peter Selmeczki, a Hungarian immigrant, Pete's ACE Hardware has been in the same location on the boulevard since the day it opened.We are seeking outgoing, friendly, and helpful team members to welcome and assist customers. Previous hardware experience is a plus but not a requirement as we provide training.Position SummaryThe primary responsibilities of the Sales Associate position are to maintain outstanding customer service, generate sales, merchandise products, and support the store management team.The major responsibilities for this position include:Actively participate in daily huddle meetingsAid customers in locating merchandising in store, on acehardware.com, as well as, processing special ordersAnswer customers' questions and provide information on products, procedures, and policiesAssist in the training and development of peersAssist in the company's inventory maintenance practicesConscious of shoplifting activityEnsure each customer receives outstanding service that follows the S.A.L.E.S process and by mystery shop standardsExecute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store managementMaintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements.Make new product recommendations to store management based on customer feedbackMerchandise products on store fixtures according to store planogramsParticipate in the processing of new shipments and help the team to keep the receiving and back stock area clean and organizedResponsive of safety issuesSign and merchandise products in the store as necessarySolicit customers to open an Ace Rewards cardStock merchandise as necessaryUphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards.Perform other tasks as assigned from time to time by store management.Job responsibilities may change based on the needs of the business.The minimum requirements for this position include:A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfactionAbility and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the businessAbility to communicate with associates and customersAble to operate a computerExcellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-taskSolid team player with excellent interpersonal skillsThe minimum physical requirements for this position include:Ability to climb a ladderAbility to stand for an extended period (6-8 Hours)Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth.Must be able to lift up to forty (40) pounds frequently to load and unload customer orders.Pay, Benefits, and Perks:Paid time offHealth Insurance for medical and dental401KProfit sharingEmployee discounts on productAce Hardware is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug-Free environment.
