Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Senior Finance Analyst acts as a strategic finance partner and co-pilot to Amazon and eCommerce teams. The role enables profitable growth by delivering financial leadership across sales planning, customer performance, and productivity initiatives.
As the owner of the customer profit-and-loss statement, the Senior Finance Analyst collaborates closely with Customer Development teams to identify margin-improvement opportunities. Through insightful analysis and structured financial modeling, the analyst directly influences commercial decisions and drives business performance.
Strong financial modeling expertise and advanced Excel skills are essential for success in this highly visible position.
Core Areas of Responsibility
Deliver Gross Proceeds of Sales and Net Sales targets for Field Sales
Lead financial reporting and analysis for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end cycles
Support account planning and ensure delivery of Customer Contribution targets
Planning & Forecasting
Develop, consolidate, and analyze annual operating plans, forecasts, and strategic plans.
Provide financial insights that guide commercial planning and execution
Profitability & Trade Optimization
Conduct return on investment analysis and trade optimization initiatives
Identify and mitigate financial impacts related to returns, post-audits, and deductions
Implement Trade Management Guidelines and compliance frameworks for assigned accounts
Use SAP, Osprey, Oracle, Hyperion, Tableau, Admin Tool, and other eCommerce systems to interpret and analyze large data sets.
Cleanse and synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights
Provide analytics and structured reporting for projects
Process Excellence & Collaboration
Identify and implement sustainable process improvements within standard workflows.
Educate and influence customer teams on opportunities to improve profitability and productivity.
Partner in a fast-paced environment to drive measurable outcomes

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field
Minimum of three years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, Sales Finance, or Customer Finance
Solid understanding of accounting principles, including accruals and prepaid accounts
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel capabilities
Experience with SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, and Tableau is considered an advantage
Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities
Ability to synthesize complex data into concise, structured insights
Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder influence
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Progressive mindset with a strong sense of urgency
High level of integrity, work ethic, and accountability
The approximate base salary range for this role is $87,000 to $105,000. Final compensation is determined based on knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
