Job Title: Production Floater 1Reports To: Production SupervisorsDirect reports: n/aKey relationships: Vista Manufacturing Operations Team, Vista Plastics Operations TeamRole Purpose:The Production Floater 1 provides flexible support across multiple production areas on an as-needed basis while adhering to safety, quality, productivity, and product delivery. This role is intended to maintain production flow by covering for absent team members, assisting teams that are behind schedule, and building stock for pick-and-ship items.Requirements:Basic math skillsBasic computer skillsUse quality inspection tools (i.e., calipers, gauges, tape measure, etc.)Able to lift 50lbsBasic hand tool/press skillsAble to work in 60% of the production areas at their home facility.Ability to work in a team environmentAbility to follow directives as set forth by team leaders and/or managementExcellent communication skills: Ability to communicate with peers, team leaders and managementVista Core CompetenciesEssential attributes: Attention to detail, humble and servant minded, problem solving, positive attitude, quick learner, time managementKey Responsibilities:Able to work in 60% of the production areas at their home facility – at rate, or better, so as not to slow production team downPull needed supplies based on the job orderValue-Add (assemble) per job order, prints and work instructionsConduct quality checksRead, understand, and follow job orders, BOM’s, specifications and narrations as outlined on job ordersAbility to use equipment in the assembly process. Some equipment may require basic computer skillsMaintain a clean, safe and orderly work areaFollow all requirements to support Vista Quality ObjectivesIf deficient in any area of responsibility, appropriate training will be implemented, and successful completion evaluated.
