The Quality Specialist is responsible for first piece inspection, in-process and final products using open set-up, CMM and inspection methods and techniques in accordance with drawing requirements and specifications. You will bring good communication skills and be able to read and follow AMETEK work instructions and quality procedures.Duties And ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret aerospace engineering drawings using geometric dimensioning and tolerances including and understanding of maximum material conditionsInspect detail parts and assemblies per drawing requirement and specs using standard measuring equipmentPrepare and maintain inspection reportsCollect and tabulate data for SPC useReview Supplier F.A.I.R./Generate First Article Reports per AS9102Test final assemblies using electrical test equipment.Other duties as directed by the managementRequired Skills And AbilitiesBasic computer knowledge including MS Excel and Word, as well as inputs into online Customer portals.Interpret drawing requirements/specs and geometric dimensions and tolerancesFamiliar with MIL, NAS, MS, AMS, AWS and AS specifications and standardsFamiliar with special process specifications for processes, welding, and non-destructive testing.Education And ExperienceHigh school graduate3-5 Years mechanical inspection, aerospace experiencePost high school education in math, engineering, inspection techniques or related fields a plusEquipment UsedVernier and Digital calipers.MicrometersHeight GaugesOther standard measuring tools/instrumentsVarious electrical testing equipmentDue to the nature of Hughes-Treitler's programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the US and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.CompensationEmployee Type: HourlyCurrency: USDSalary Minimum: 70,000Salary Maximum: 70,000Incentive: NoDisclaimer: Where a specific pay range is noted, it is a good faith estimate at the time of this posting.
