In the U.S., Mattamy is represented in 11 markets - Charlotte, Dallas, Jacksonville, Naples, Orlando, Phoenix, Raleigh, Sarasota, Southeast Florida, Tampa, and Tucson.What you'll do:Leave Administration & Case ManagementWorks closely with outside vendor, ensure leave steps such as intake, eligibility determination, documentation, tracking, return-to-work coordination, and work accommodations are completed appropriately.Serve as the primary point of contact for team members and managers regarding leave policies and proceduresEnsure timely and accurate communication of leave status, rights, and responsibilities to employeesCompliance & Policy AdherenceEnsure compliance with FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, Workers' Compensation laws, and other applicable regulationsMonitor legislative updates to ensure we remain in compliance with the constantly evolving legislation.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, and federal, state, and local leave laws. Recommend policy updates as neededMaintain direct billing coordination of benefit payments and adherence to deadlines for timely benefit paymentsPartner with HR and Legal to address complex leave scenarios and ADA or other work accommodation requests to ensure any risks are mitigatedAccurately track and document leaves in HRISVendor & Stakeholder CollaborationConsult with and oversee third-party administrators for disability and workers' compensation claimsCollaborate with Payroll to ensure accurate pay processing during leave periodsWork closely with HR VPs/Business Partners and team member managers to support workforce planning during employee absencesPartner with the Benefits Team and Human Resources to coordinate benefit continuation, payments, and terminations during leaves of absence.Reporting & AnalyticsMaintain accurate leave records and documentationGenerate reports and metrics on leave trends, usage, and compliance for leadership reviewIdentify opportunities for process improvementTeam Member Experience & SupportProvide empathetic and confidential support to team members navigating leave situationsEducate team members and managers on leave options and processes through training and resourcesEnsure a positive and respectful experience for team members throughout their leave journeyOther Benefits Department DutiesAnswers questions and relays information to team members and managers regarding benefit issues; monitors communications through the benefits email boxHandle billings for various Mattamy benefit programs and ensures costs are allocated correctlyHelps to support annual open enrollment process and related communications or meetingsProvides back-up and assistance to other members of the Benefits team as neededOther duties as assignedWhat you bring:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field4-6 years of experience in leave administration, benefits, or related HR operationsStrong knowledge of federal FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and other leave-related laws as well as strong understanding of COBRA and HIPAAExperience with Payroll/HRIS systems and case management tools (MetLife would be preferred)Strong skills in MS Word and ExcelExcellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and critical thinking skillsAbility to analyze complex situations and make sound decisions related to leave casesAbility to work independently, manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate recordsAbility to oversee sensitive information with good judgment, discretion, and professionalismBe yourself.
