Leveraging the power of our platform and our peerless intelligence across sectors, strategies, and geographies, we help identify the advantages and the answers our clients need to succeed.Position OverviewThe Senior Associate of SPAR (StepStone Portfolio Analytics & Reporting) Client Service is responsible for providing portfolio analytics and reporting services for the Firm's private markets investment clients and related portfolios. The Senior Associate will work closely with the Department's senior leadership as well as other departments (e.g. Accounting, Research, Investor Relations) where necessary to provide support to the Firm's global investment activities. As a senior stakeholder of the Department, the SPAR Senior Associate is expected to provide a combination of client management and team development.Essential Job Functions:Client ManagementDepartment resource for client relationship managementServe as account manager, working closely with different functional teams and stakeholders to oversee all aspects of the client monitoring and reporting cycle, with a focus on the Firm's private equity and multi-asset client baseFinal review and sign-off for core client deliverablesEnsure key deadlines are established, continuously strived for, and met on timeManage, anticipate, and communicate needs for relevant client deliverablesLead and effectively delegate resources to ad hoc client projects, where necessaryEnsure succession plans and institutional memory are in place as needed to ensure uninterrupted client service (client lead backups, documentation of unique processes/procedures, etc.)Continuously take initiative to improve work processes and productivityTeam DevelopmentWork with other client service account managers, to help manage day-to-day operations of the teamActively develop, engage and mentor junior staff by offering timely feedback, challenging work, guidance, and increasing scope of responsibilities based on meritProvide explanation and reinforcement of Department-wide communications, initiatives, and training objectives to junior staffEncourage and promote skill development of team, objectively identifying strengths and weaknesses of junior staff and improving the effective operations of the teamActively mentor and develop junior members of the Department (outside of their Direct Reports) and participate in team building with the broader DepartmentAs a senior stakeholder of the Department, the Senior Associate is held to the highest standard of respectful communication, which is instrumental in setting the tone for the rest of the Department teamEducation and/or Work Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in finance, economics or business preferredMinimum of 5 years of relevant experience preferredSignificant experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and Power BIWorking knowledge of financial accounting and demonstrated ability to learn new performance and portfolio reporting systemsProven ability to lead projects and/or teamsProven ability to multi-task and manage priorities against key deadlinesProven ability to work with stakeholders across various departments within an organizationStrong verbal and written communication skillsHighly motivated individual with demonstrated initiative, independence and adaptabilityProblem solving skills and ability to oversee execution of accurate and high-quality finished productsInterest in global financial marketsSalary Range: $ 105,000 - $120,000The salary range is an estimate of pay for this position. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors that can include location, education, skill, and experience.
