Risk and Quality Coordinator

Adapt Integrated Health Care is looking for a qualified Risk and Quality Coordinator to join their team! This position can be housed at any of our locations, Roseburg, Grants Pass, Bandon, North Bend, or Curry County. Under the direction of the Risk/Quality Manager, this role independently coordinates risk management, safety, and quality improvement functions in assigned areas to ensure that risk incident reports, assigned risk assessments, and assigned functional areas for QI/QA Workplan are reviewed and completed and appropriate reports are developed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or other related field of study required, graduate degree preferred. Appropriate experience may be substituted for education. 2+ years of experience in a health care facility. Certified in healthcare risk management or the ability to achieve certification within 18 months of hire. Certified in healthcare quality or the ability to achieve certification within 18 months of hire. Experience working in EPIC preferred Primary Responsibilities Evaluates and coordinates management of all incident reports in assigned functional area for severity, frequency, and probability of financial loss, and reports as necessary to appropriate leadership, committees, and personnel. Leads, supports, or participates as a member of appropriate committees and task forces assigned to improve quality and safety and to reduce organizational risk. Manages assigned areas of the QI/QA Workplan and collaborates with other teams both internal and external to develop and implement quality improvement activities. Lead, support, or participate in quality improvement activities in assigned and other areas in support of the QI/QA Workplan. Serves as a resource to Adapt employees on issues related to risk management, patient safety, and quality improvement. Demonstrates role model behavior regarding proper customer satisfaction, conduct, confidentiality, complaint resolution, and problem solving. Manage, in collaboration with other team members, assigned grievances and ensures timely, complete responses to grievances and grievance reporting. Prepares all necessary documentation and promotes compliance with internal policies and external regulations regarding areas of risk management and quality improvement responsibility, including but not limited to sentinel events and root-cause analyses, and quality improvement activities. Develop reports on risk management trends and patterns and communicate this information effectively to Risk/Quality Manager, Risk, Quality, & Compliance Officer, Risk Management Committee and QMT as appropriate. Educates and trains staff in appropriate procedures, documentation, reporting, and follow-up in key areas of risk management and quality improvement activities. Acts as a resource in risk reduction, quality improvement, and patient safety and keeps abreast of trends in the industry.
