Design Engineer – Job DescriptionJob Title: Design Engineer Type: Full-TimeJob SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Design Engineer with strong experience in 3D modeling, product design, assembly design, drafting, and engineering change management. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in CATIA V5/V6 within automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, or manufacturing environments.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and modify 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using CATIA V5/ V6.Develop detailed component and assembly designs according to customer requirements.Perform packaging studies, tolerance analysis, and design feasibility assessments.Generate manufacturing drawings, GD&T, and BOMs.Support product development from concept through production release.Coordinate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.Manage engineering changes and design revisions.Ensure compliance with company and industry design standards.Required SkillsStrong hands-on experience with CATIA V5/V6.3D Part Modeling & Surface Modeling.Assembly Design & Kinematics.Drafting & Detailing.GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECR).BOM Creation & Product Structure Management.Design for Manufacturing (DFM).Tolerance Stack-up Analysis.Preferred SkillsENOVIA V6 / PLM.Sheet Metal Design.Plastic Product Design.Aerospace Structures or Automotive BIW.Reverse Engineering.FEA exposure (ANSYS, Abaqus, HyperMesh).QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.3+ years of CATIA V5/V6 design experience.Experience in Automotive, Aerospace, Heavy Equipment, or Industrial Manufacturing preferred.
