Job ID: 10423369 | Amazon.com Services LLC Join Amazon's Transportation Operations Management (TOM) team as an Associate Learning & Development Trainer. This DOT‐regulated position combines transportation expertise with hands‐on training delivery to support our Transportation Associates (TAs) in developing critical skills. You will lead classroom, virtual, and yard training sessions focusing on safety, operational excellence, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Deliver standardized classroom, virtual, and hands‐on training following established curriculum. Conduct comprehensive new‐hire onboarding covering yard safety, equipment operation, and Amazon policies. Provide continuous education programs including safety refresher training and operational updates. Teach safe driving techniques, defensive driving principles, and route planning for over‐the‐road (OTR) Associates. Ensure compliance with DOT requirements through proper vehicle inspections, documentation, and training of emergency response protocols. Execute yard safety observations and provide real‐time coaching to Transportation Associates. Support yard operations during high‐volume events through yard management and shuttling. Maintain accurate training records, including attendance, completion, and safety observations. Track and report training metrics and provide feedback on program effectiveness. Maintain compliance with Amazon policies, safety protocols, and DOT regulations. A Day in the Life A typical day may begin with a virtual compliance update, transition to hands‐on yard training, conduct over‐the‐road driving practice, and finish with documentation and coaching sessions. Flexibility is required to address peak periods and ensure all activities comply with DOT regulations. About the Team The Associate Learning and Development (ALD) Training Delivery Team implements comprehensive transportation training programs through hands‐on and classroom instruction. Our team collaborates with cross‐organizational stakeholders to deliver high‐quality, timely training that drives operational success and maintains safety excellence. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. ClassA commercial driver's license (CDL). Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays. Physical capability to lift up to 49pounds and perform extended standing/walking for up to 12hours. 1+years of verifiable CDL driving experience within the past 10years. Eligibility to drive in accordance with DOT requirements. Preferred Qualifications 2+years of CDL driver training experience. Experience delivering structured training programs. Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA rules, regulations, and record‐keeping. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information effectively.
