Sales Representative - State and Local Government

Job Description: Drive sales growth and overall profitability in assigned product categoriesWork with Medline sales force to grow targeted accountsManage assigned territory through field sales activities to include territory analysis, total geographic coverage, account management, prospecting and new product evaluationsPrepare and present clinical or technical proposals on how Medlines products can meet customer needsMaintain all product, clinical and procedural knowledge as it relates to the products being sold within a specific territoryAttend sales, trade meetings, or read related publications to obtain information about market conditions, business trends, regulations, or industry developmentsEstablish, develop, and maintain business relationships with prospective and current Medline customersDevelop and conduct customer in-services/technical trainingTrack sales performance against objectives and inform management of resultsRequirements: Bachelor's degreeAt least 2 years of quota-based sales experience demonstrating a background in cold calling, commissioned, full-cycle sales experience OR at least 5 years of quota-based sales experience demonstrating a background in cold calling, commissioned, full-cycle sales experienceAt least 2 years of tangible product sales and account management experienceDemonstrated track record of sales growth and quota attainmentProven ability to identify, connect with, build consensus and close new businessAbility to organize and deliver clinical and/or technical information in a clear, concise mannerAbility to work with minimal supervision in a detail-focused, results-oriented environmentCommunication skills to effectively communicate and build relationships with clients is crucialCustomer service skills required to ensure customers have a positive experience from start to finishTime management skills required to meet sales targetsFinancial acumen needed to understand financial aspects and to manage contract figuresProficiency with Microsoft productsExposure to and use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.Position requires travel for business purposes (within state and out of state).Benefits: Health insuranceLife and disability401(k) contributionsPaid time offFlexible working arrangementsContinuing education & trainingCompetitive total rewards package
