Traveling Laborer Journeyman

We have built over 3,500 pre-stressed concrete liquid storage tanks over the past 90 years around the country and world, as a result we have become the leader in the industry when it comes to quality and innovation.As a Laborer Journeyman at DN Tanks, you will be responsible for completing all work required throughout the phases of the tank building process. The laborer journeyman shall set the pace of work and assist other local workers with knowledge and guidance for performing the work safely and with quality. The laborer journeyman is responsible for managing the following tasks at the direction of the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and Foreman.Primary ResponsibilitiesComplete assignments in a timely fashion with little supervision; ask for additional information when tasks or assignments are unclear and supports the daily planUnderstands the tank building process and can identify the next tasks to be completed in the processAssists in checking grade and subgrade elevations using level or transitAssists with the shoring erection, bracing, dismantling, and load out of shoring materials. Assists with assembling pipe and fabrication of forms for pipe pitsLoads out the tank including braces, shoring, etc. Trains apprenticesAssists with shoring installation. Responsible for continuous site cleanup and organization. Follows safety procedures and understands DN Tanks safety policiesParticipates in the review of the task hazard analysis (THA)Identifies safety hazards and participates in the Award of Excellence (AOE) ProgramPromotes clean, safe work practices by watching over other employees while performing work. Follows quality control (QC) program, understands construction tolerances, and reports any quality defects immediatelyMaintains all certifications in compliance with DN Tanks Safety & Equipment Programs. Establishes and executes DN University training goals with assistance from the Field Operations Manager. Plans safety into each operation and identifies or removes hazards immediately as part of the task without being asked. QualificationsAbility to travel to project sites throughout the United States at the direction of the Field Operations Manager. Owns and maintains general hand toolsAbility to climb and perform tasks at heights on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders, shoring, and scaffolds.
