This role goes beyond reporting and forecasting—it acts as a trusted finance thought partner, helping teams understand their financials, evaluate trade-offs, and make better decisions through proactive, forward-looking analysis..The ideal candidate combines strong financial modeling and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders. This role plays a critical part in driving sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and long-term financial planning while advancing access to high-quality women’s healthcare.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain complex financial models to support budgeting and forecastingAnalyze financial and operational performance, identify trends and risks, and proactively surface insights and recommendations that influence business decisionsPrepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and variance analyses, with a focus on why results differ and what actions to take nextSupport strategic initiatives such as pricing analysis, provider capacity planning, and business casesPartner closely with operational and clinical leaders to understand business drivers, translate performance into financial implications, and guide decision-making through scenario analysis and clear recommendationsWork with Accounting on expense management and cash flow planning, and with Human Resources to track and forecast workforce growthImprove financial processes, tools, and reporting efficiencyAssist in selecting and implementing an FP&A toolEnsure accuracy and integrity of financial and operational dataMaintain confidentiality of financial information and decisionsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting, or equivalent.4+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a related roleStrong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skillsAdvanced proficiency in Excel; experience with financial systems and BI tools preferredSolid understanding of accounting principles and financial statementsExcellent communication skills with the ability to present insights to non-financial stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsMBA, CPA, CFA, or similar professional certificationExperience in the healthcare industry, specifically financial partnership with clinical operations teamsPrior experience in a startup or PE/VC-backed companyKey CompetenciesStrategic thinking and problem-solvingAttention to detail with a big-picture mindsetAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong business partnering and collaboration skillsThe interview process will include: Recruiter InterviewHiring Manager InterviewAnalytics assessment Panel Interview with Business Operations and ProductSVP of Finance InterviewCFO InterviewWhy Join Midi HealthMission-driven healthcare company improving access to women’s healthcareRemote-first, flexible work environmentHigh-Growth Opportunity: Play a pivotal role in scaling the finance function and take on increasing ownership as the company expands.Strategic Impact: Gain direct exposure to senior finance leadership, contributing to strategic initiatives and board-level reporting.Compensation for this role is $140-155K, dependent on experience, location and other factors.
