As part of our team, you’ll have access to educational opportunities at Capella University, plus scholarships and offers to help you save on tuitionIf our company culture matches your values, come join the team at Manhattan Behavioral Center!Job DetailsJob TypeFull Time Occupational TherapistJob HoursMonday – Friday 8:30am-4:30pmJob LocationManhattan, NYJob Compensation$80,000-$90,000 based on education, experience and certificationsYour Impact Here at MBCProviding direct therapy on a 1:1 basis to children with autism and other special needs.Prepare and organize therapy materials prior to each sessionComplete daily session notesProvide formal and informal occupational therapy assessments of clients on their caseloadDevelop and write annual goals and objectives for each client on caseloadWrite semi-annual progress reports describing clients’ acquisition towards established goalsCollaborate in a multi-disciplinary setting with other providers (e.g., BCBA's, SLP's, and PT's) that are clients’ team membersBuild and maintain a professional and positive relationship with parents/caregivers and outside providers by ensuring frequent communication (e.g., check-ins, recurring updates, etc.)Submit all thorough and complete paperwork in a timely manner to the OT clinical supervisorEngage and use Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) holds/transport or disengagement tactics for students during behavioral episodes.
