Residential Shift Supervisor Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm (FT)

Residential Shift SupervisorMonday - Friday 7am - 3pm (FT)Pay Rate $19 - $20 per hr.The Residential Shift Supervisor will be responsible for the operation of their assigned residential shift.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Provide supervisory leadership to the Residential Coach by ensuring a healthy, therapeutic and safe environment for staff, residents and their children in their care.Remains aware of Residential schedule, ensuring 24-hr. coverage as required.Attends a minimum of one formal substance abuse/mental health or management training session per year to demonstrate awareness of client issues and needs.Provides training and orientation services to new Residential staff.As a shift supervisor, you serve as a primary point of contact and communication liaison in the absence of the Program Director, to ensure smooth residential team operations and effective collaboration.Assumes ongoing responsibility of the residential Coaches during assigned shift. Is responsible for carrying out the instructions of the Program Manager.In conjunction with Program Manager, monitors assigned program vehicles for gas, maintenance, and repair. Maintains full gas tank and monitors cleaning of vehicles.Coordinates handling of donated items (greeting donors, completing donation log sheets, etc.) Keeps lobby area clear of donated items during hours on duty.Enforces program rules and performs disciplinary tasks in accordance with residents' manual and Chrysalis House policy and procedures.Authorizes passes in accordance with current treatment levels. Assists in planning and conducting recreational activities;Reports any emergency to the Program Director and/or Clinical Director immediately. In the event of medical, police, fire, or disaster emergency, follows the applicable Chrysalis House Emergency Procedure.Collects client urines as required and in accordance with Chrysalis House policy. Completes all necessary documentation and arranges for appropriate lab pick-up.Participates in staff meetings and staffing sessions as directed.In conjunction with residential and clinical staff, conducts education and guidance activities as assigned.In order to maintain 24-hour facility supervision, may be scheduled to work holidays, and/or provide additional coverage during inclement weather, overnights, or weekends.Performs other duties as assigned.STANDARD REQUIREMENTS: To perform the job successfully each of the following standard requirements must be met: Communicates with credibility and confidenceEffectively communicates goals and expectationsAchieves results when confronted with major responsibilities and limited resourcesMakes verbal commitments that are consistent with actionsMakes wise and fair judgments based on solid factsExercises sound judgment on behalf of othersIs skilled in identifying and solving bottlenecksSolves problems before they become criticalPromotes quality values throughout the organizationImplements prompt measures to avoid a recurrence of errorsEffectively assesses employee resources, strengths and competenciesExcels in the strategic repositioning of resources when necessarySets clear goals and objectives of the teamExpects team members to make maximum contributionsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Set a good example for all staffInsure that all policy and procedures are being followed consistently by all staffCommunication liaison between clients and managementQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the following qualifications: Ensure patient confidentiality in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Med tech Certification - preferredHigh school diploma, GEDHuman Services, Behavioral Science or related experience with (3-5) years of experienceCPR, First AIDClean driving record and valid driver's license. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competency in current computer skill. Must have the abilities to conduct the following while performing the duties of this job: Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk and hear. Frequently required to walk, stand, and sit. Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
