Apply via Dice today!Job Title: Project Manager Renewable Job Location: Juno Beach, FL (Onsite)Job Type: Long Term Contract Job OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Project Manager (Level 3) to lead the planning and development of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This role will focus on advanced pre-construction planning, integrating engineering, financial modeling, procurement strategies, and regulatory requirements to drive successful project execution and investment decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead pre-construction planning and optimization for large-scale BESS projectsIntegrate engineering design, financial modeling, procurement strategy, and regulatory requirementsManage cross-functional project teams to ensure schedule alignment and execution efficiencyCoordinate environmental, regulatory, land acquisition, interconnection, and permitting activitiesDevelop and optimize technical scope to enhance project feasibility and ROISupport PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) and GIA (Generator Interconnection Agreement) negotiationsCollaborate with engineering, estimating, and procurement teams to build financial modelsAnalyze market data to strengthen financial assumptions and project viabilityPresent financial models and project updates to executive leadership for approvalsSource, negotiate, and manage contracts (EPC, geotechnical, survey, engineering services)Track project performance, risks, and key metrics using project management toolsCommunicate with stakeholders including executives, suppliers, regulators, and local communitiesEnsure smooth transition of projects to construction teams with executable plansRequired QualificationsBachelor s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of project management experience in engineering, construction, or infrastructure projectsExperience with renewable energy projects, especially Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)Strong understanding of project financials, engineering coordination, and regulatory processesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExcellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsPMP (Project Management Professional) certificationSix Sigma certification or experienceExperience with electricity markets, renewables, and energy storage projectsStrong background in contract negotiation and vendor managementCore CompetenciesProject Management & LeadershipFinancial Modeling & AnalysisStrategic Planning & ExecutionStakeholder & Vendor ManagementRisk Management & Problem SolvingCommunication & Executive Presentation Skills
