Job Title: Quality TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Quality Technician with experience in quality engineering, process controls, inspection, and design. The ideal candidate will work in quality, manufacturing, or development engineering, supporting root cause analysis activities to ensure effective corrective and preventative actions are implemented.Responsibilities+ Verify the quantity, part number, and purchase order on incoming and outgoing deliveries, and communicate with the Warehouse to resolve any discrepancies.+ Log materials into MS Excel Tracking Sheets, perform transactions in SAP, and maintain accurate inventory records.+ Physically manage inventory to ensure neat storage and delivery to outgoing areas.+ Inspect repairs to determine status and proper transfer location.+ Communicate with Planning and Engineering to provide updates on material availability and status.+ Maintain the work area neatly in accordance with 5S principles.+ Inspect products and materials for proper packaging, labeling, cosmetic defects, or other deviations from product specifications.+ Document inspection results by completing reports and inputting data into the database.Essential Skills+ Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.+ 2+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.+ 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, including inspections and testing.+ Familiarity with quality control, quality assurance, blueprint reading, CMM programming, GD&T, and quality inspection.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Knowledge and experience with SAP software preferred.+ Knowledge of mechanical drawings and SharePoint database is preferred.+ Diploma, Certification, or Degree in Technical Engineering is preferred.+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.Work EnvironmentThe position is based in Newtown, CT, within a quality test facility. You will work in a lab, cleanroom, and manufacturing setting. The job operates on the 1st shift, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
