One person, one family, one business at a time.Job SummaryThe Financial Planning Associate specializes in client service and processing of variable products and other securities and ensuring the maintenance of an efficient and compliant office, allowing the financial advisor to focus on building client relationships. The associate representative is a liaison between the home office, financial advisor and clients.Key ResponsibilitiesCase Prep Create financial plans in PX (Northwestern Mutual's proprietary software), agendas, and recommendationsCreate and analyze investment reports using internal NM tools and external platforms such as Morningstar/BlackrockRun Illustrations (NM proprietary software) for clients applying for insurance productsGather financial data and client summary reports in advance of review meetingsAnalysis Research, build, & manage investment portfolios and track their performance for clients and prospective clientsRun performance reports in Envestnet, Morningstar, and other NM specific proprietary reporting systemsInvestigate and research investments and portfolio ideasIntermittently evaluate portfolio models and potential changesBe cognizant of funds we could employ in the futureAdministrative/Client Service Maintain Financial Advisor's calendar – schedule and confirm appointments with existing clientsCorrespond with clients to handle updates to client accounts or servicing needsMinimum Job Requirements 2+ years of financial industry experience preferredSeries 6 and/or 7 licensing preferred (or at least obtained within 6-12 months of employment)Obtain Life and Health license within 90 days of employmentStrong analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well with othersAbility to proactively identify what needs to be accomplished and actStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentBenefits Health, Vision, & Dental InsuranceShort Term DisabilityPTO + Holiday PayIndustry licensing and continuing education expensesPersonal and professional development opportunitiesPowered by JazzHR
