Job Description:
NC Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a Senior Java Developer to support NC FAST (Cúram-based system) for FNS/SNAP programs. The role involves analysis, design, development, and maintenance of data extracts, ETL processes, and reporting solutions using Java, Oracle, and Cúram technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements and develop data extracts, ETL jobs, and reports
- Design, code, test, and maintain complex SQL queries and reporting solutions
- Work with large datasets (CLOB/XML) and ensure performance optimization
- Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI and BI tools
- Troubleshoot and enhance existing reports and data interfaces
- Ensure data quality through validation and audit processes
- Provide 24x7 on-call support (rotation)
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of Cúram (V6/V7/V8, V8 preferred)5+ years of Java (J2SE/J2EE), XML, XSL7+ years of Oracle, ETL tools, and data modeling 5+ years of Power BI dashboard development
- Strong experience with SQL and large data sets
- Expertise in SDLC methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred:
- Experience with Business Objects/BIRTExposure to Agile (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe)
- Leadership and mentoring experience
