Job Summary: RSI is currently recruiting for a Technical Writer to support the Environment and Sustainability Division (ESD) mission at Idaho National Laboratory. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality environmental regulatory documentation, reporting, and program support aligned with federal environmental compliance requirements. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with experience interpreting environmental regulations and producing precise, audit-ready technical documentation. This position is located in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Responsibilities include: Prepare and review environmental regulatory documents and reports (RCRA, NESHAP, TSCA, EPCRA, NEPA, MBTA, etc.)Develop permit applications, modification requests, and periodic compliance certificationsProduce technical reports including Annual Site Environmental Report and regulatory submissionsConduct environmental regulatory research and interpretationCreate and maintain procedures, plans, training materials, and technical documentationSupport project teams with document development, editing, and compliance trackingRespond to data calls, audits, and stakeholder inquiries Requirements and Education:Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)Demonstrated technical writing experienceAbility to analyze and interpret complex regulatory requirementsStrong organizational and documentation management skillsMust be eligible to obtain HSPD-12 credential for DOE systems access Preferred Requirements and Education:Background in environmental law, policy, or regulationsExperience with DOE, federal agencies, or government contractorsFamiliarity with environmental regulations including:RCRA, NESHAP, CAA, TSCA, EPCRA, NEPA, NHPAExperience supporting environmental compliance programs or reporting Clearance and Health RegimentsCriminal Background CheckPre-placement Drug Screening EEO Statement RSI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
