Our greatest asset has been, and will continue to be, our people.We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of HSE Technician in our US Onshore Resources & Carbon Management (ORCM), HSE Business Unit based in Midland, TXRoles And ResponsibilitiesMaintain systems to track reports as well as track and document various business unit initiatives/processesAssisting in preparation of spreadsheets for various business unit activities and reportsMaintain a filing system for various business unit documentsAssist in preparing reports, bulletins, and alertsAssist in document control both electronically and hard copySupport the activities of a fast-paced multi-functional business teamProvide clerical support for a business unitPerform word processing of letters, memos, reports, agreements, exhibits and general business correspondencePrepare presentation materials, including charts, graphs and slidesMaintain business unit database systems; Responsible for business unit records management and archival in FileNet systemSchedule appointments, make travel arrangements, and schedule meetings for principalsCoordinate and manage logistics for business unit celebrations, technical conferences and meetingsHandle confidential information with discretionAnswer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messagesPerform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management database systems, and performing basic bookkeeping workStore, retrieve, and integrate information for dissemination to staff and clientsPrepare time reports, expense reports, and organization charts as needed for the departmentEducation High School Diploma Continued Education – 2 year or 4 year Bachelor’s degree – preferred Qualifications Professional /Technical Qualifications /Licenses /Certifications: Able to work multiple tasks simultaneously and manage one’s own timeSolid skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook with some knowledge in MS AccessGood communication, interpersonal skills, and customer focusHighly effective team player with a positive attitudeExceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlinesWillingness and ability to learn and take on more complex tasksTakes responsibility for completing tasks with minimal supervisionGood time management and problem solving skillsAbility to manage files for linking to web pages and other documentsAbility to assist the business unit with a variety of constantly changing tasksExperience2+ years of relevant experience in the oil/gas industry (preferred).Skills & CompetenciesAble to work multiple tasks simultaneously and manage one’s own timeSolid skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook with some knowledge in MS AccessGood communication, interpersonal skills, and customer focusHighly effective team player with a positive attitudeExceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlinesWillingness and ability to learn and take on more complex tasksTakes responsibility for completing tasks with minimal supervisionGood time management and problem solving skillsAbility to manage files for linking to web pages and other documents Recruitment Fraud It has come to our attention various individuals and/or organizations are contacting people falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of Oxy.
