Order Fulfillment Manager

About the CompanyThe Order Fulfillment Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end order fulfillment process within a high-precision manufacturing environment serving the aerospace and automotive industries. This role ensures that customer orders are processed, scheduled, produced, and delivered accurately, on time, and in compliance with strict quality and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sheet metal manufacturing, production planning, and cross-functional coordination.About the RoleThe Order Fulfillment Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end order fulfillment process within a high-precision manufacturing environment serving the aerospace and automotive industries.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the full order fulfillment lifecycle, from order entry through shipment and delivery.Coordinate closely with production, engineering, quality, and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.Develop and maintain production schedules based on capacity, material availability, and customer priorities.Monitor order status, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions proactively.Ensure compliance with aerospace (e.g., AS9100) and automotive (e.g., IATF 16949) quality standards.Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to provide accurate order updates and resolve customer issues.Optimize inventory levels and work with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to lead time reduction, process efficiency, and on-time delivery performance.Analyze KPIs such as on-time delivery (OTD), order accuracy, and production throughput.Implement and maintain ERP/MRP systems to track and manage orders effectively.Lead, mentor, and develop fulfillment and planning staff.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)Required Skills5+ years of experience in order fulfillment, production planning, or operations within a manufacturing environmentExperience in sheet metal fabrication, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing requiredFamiliarity with precision manufacturing processes such as stamping, forming, laser cutting, and CNC machining
