Security Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role• Advise clients on building reliable networks aligned with strategic goals and operational needs.• Lead the planning, acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network and security components.• Resolve interoperability issues and support the acquisition of necessary hardware and software.• Troubleshoot connectivity and policy issues using packet captures, traffic logs, and CLI tooling.• Mentor junior engineers and take ownership of project workstreams.• Participate in on-call rotations and triage network security events under pressure.What You'll Need• 6+ years of experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), including Security Policies, App-ID, User-ID, Threat Prevention, or URL Filtering.• Experience deploying and operating cloud-delivered security solutions, including SD-WAN integration and remote access.• Experience managing multi-device environments with centralized management tools.• Knowledge of cloud networking and deploying cloud firewalls.• Understanding of routing protocols and VPN technologies.• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.What's On Offer• Competitive annual salary ($77,600 - $176,000) plus comprehensive benefits package.• Opportunities for professional development, including tuition assistance and access to learning resources.• A collaborative work environment with a focus on supporting employee well-being.• Chance to contribute to significant government missions and protect critical infrastructure.Apply via Haystack today!
