Electrical Testing Technician

About the Role As an Electrical Test Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of electrical systems and components. You'll be responsible for conducting tests, analyzing data, and identifying potential issues, contributing directly to the safety and performance of our products. Your expertise in electrical testing methodologies and equipment will be essential to our success. Responsibilities Execute electrical tests on low and medium voltage switchgear, subcomponents, and related items, ensuring adherence to established standards and procedures. Set up and operate a variety of test equipment, including AC dielectric testers, AC/DC power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, current sources, and electronic loads, to evaluate performance and identify deviations. Analyze test data, identify anomalies, and document findings accurately, contributing to continuous improvement efforts. Perform electrical wiring and mechanical assembly tasks as needed, ensuring proper connections and configurations for testing purposes. Interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and manuals to understand testing requirements and configurations. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues identified during testing, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations. Qualifications Required Skills High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings, codes, schematics, manuals, blueprints, and procedures. Familiarity with electrical equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Preferred Skills 0-2 years of relevant experience in electrical, mechanical, machining, or inspection roles. Knowledge of basic electro-mechanical theory and components. Experience with Hi-Pot (High Potential) / High Voltage Testing. Nuclear industry experience.
