Electrical Apprentice
We are looking for an Electrician Apprentice who will assists licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment used in food and beverage manufacturing facilities. This role provides hands-on training while ensuring compliance with safety regulations, food safety standards, and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, motors, control panels, conveyors, pumps, and production equipment.
Support troubleshooting of electrical faults and equipment malfunctions.
Help inspect electrical components such as wiring, breakers, switches, sensors, and PLC-controlled systems.
Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment.
Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals under supervision.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
Follow all company safety procedures
Assist in minimizing equipment downtime to support production operations.
Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and sanitation standards.
Document maintenance activities and report equipment issues to supervisors.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Enrollment in or willingness to participate in an electrical apprenticeship program.
Basic understanding of electrical theory and safety practices.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in manufacturing environments that may include heat, noise, and wet conditions.
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends or overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or food processing environments.
Basic knowledge of motor controls, PLCs, and industrial electrical systems.
OSHA safety training or related certifications is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces when necessary.
Ability to distinguish colors for electrical wiring identification.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
