VOLUNTEER PROGRAMEAGLE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICTThank you for your interest in volunteering with Eagle County School District.To become a volunteer, you must complete two required steps:Complete the online volunteer applicationComplete a background check (conducted by the district)Complete fingerprinting (only if applicable-see below) Once your application and background check are approved, the school coordinator for the school you selected will contact you with next steps. Step 1: Complete the Online Volunteer ApplicationComplete the online application to begin the volunteer process by clicking on the "APPLY HERE" box at the top of the job description.Step 2: Background CheckAs part of the application process, Eagle County School District will conduct a background check for all volunteers to help ensure the safety and security of students and staff..For most volunteers, this will be an instant background check conducted by the district.No additional action is required from the applicants for this step.Step 3: Fingerprinting (If Required)Fingerprinting is required (instead of the instant background check) only for volunteers who:Serve as a coach, orParticipate in overnight field trips with students All other volunteers will complete an instant background check conducted by the district.Important: Please do not schedule or complete fingerprinting unless your volunteer role includes one of the activities listed above.Step 4: Wait for ApprovalBackground check results are sent directly to ECSD.Once your application and instant background check are complete and approved, you will be added to the district's approved volunteer list, which is accessible to all schools.The school coordinator will then contact you with next steps.Role of a School VolunteerProvide assistance to studentsHelp staff better meet student needsStrengthen connections between schools and the community Fingerprinting/Background Check Information (If Required)All volunteers must complete a background check prior to volunteering.Most volunteers will have an instant background check conducted by ECSDVolunteers who will be coaching or participating in overnight field trips must complete fingerprinting as their background check requirement Click HERE to be taken to Colorado Fingerprinting's website IMPORTANT BILLING INFORMATIONYou MUST use the billing code below so ECSD is charged correctly.Billing Code: 1417ECSDNonLicFee Details:ECSD will pay the $57.50 CBI/FBI background check fee.You will pay only the $10 vendor fee (paid by credit/debit card).No reimbursements will be issued. *If you do NOT use the billing code, you will be charged $57.50 for the CBI/FBI background check fee plus the $10 vendor fee. Fingerprinting Steps for Colorado Fingerprinting's WebsiteLogin or Create and accountLocate an Enrollment Center convenient for you (Copy Plus preferred) and make an appointment.Enter the billing code: 1417ECSDNonLicComplete the pre-enrollment process by entering the required CBI and FBI information.Attend your 10-minute appointment at the Enrollment Center. A technician will completeID verificationFingerprint capturePhoto captureSignature capturePay the $10 vendor fee by credit/debit card.Processing Time: Results are returned to ECSD within 3 to 5 business days.If prints are rejected for quality (less than 1%)You will be notified by email or phone.You will receive an automated link to reschedule at no charge.Please Note: ECSD is unable to provide fingerprint results to applicants
